Welcome

The monitoring program for the Portneuf River Basin enables stakeholders to assess and document the influence of natural and human-caused factors on water quality.  This web site provides a gateway to access data and information about the Portneuf River Basin, its monitoring program, and related activities.

An integral part of the monitoring program is a system of sensors with data logging/telemetry equipment that provides a continuous picture of the health or "pulse" of the Portneuf River Basin. These data include critical conditions for aquatic organisms --such as river flow, temperature, dissolved oxygen—that are provided here in near real-time. Our Reference Library provides documents, maps, photographs,  as well as additional data that are collected on a regular but less frequent basis.

This site contains several ways to view data.  To see current conditions and static plots, click on the map at right or on “Current Conditions” in the Quick Links Menu.  The map will appear full screen and you can select data from a particular location.  To view dynamic plots that you can control on your own, and historic conditions, click beneath the map on the Home page.  We hope you find the information presented here informative and useful. Please contact us should you have if you have comments or suggestions.
